It’s a wet and grey day today, so I thought we needed a bit of colour.
Tulips never fail to cheer me up. Our patch of tulips are long gone, but there are still plenty in the garden up the road.
We think of tulips as Dutch, but I read they were cultivated in Turkey before they reached the Netherlands, and were the symbol of the Ottomans in the 15th century. So exotic as well as beautiful.
