A painting today, based on two earlier drawings. I might tinker with it a bit more, but it’s more or less done.
I’ve tried to evoke the colours of the moors in Autumn (North Yorkshire? The New Forest? Scotland?). We might not be able to visit for some months, but they will be waiting for us when we can.
That would make a fabulous card (I’m thinking of hiking friends). Wd love to see the original one day!
Thank you. If I get any more cards printed I’ll bear this one in mind.
It’s 12″x 12″ on a wooden panel. Maybe I’ll have a little exhibition here when this is all over.
Dear Jenny,
When I first looked at this painting, I thought it depicted two shepherds gazing out towards the place where the baby Jesus lay, complete with staff (or crook)! Or even two “Moors” (of Venice variety)!
Mind you, I’m getting over a major op and currently being well looked after in Coombe Bissett overlooking the River Ebble! Mind playing tricks!
So enjoying your work.
Lesley.
Gosh! Glad you like it.
Hope you are recovering well. You aren’t far away. I walk by the Ebble most days (but not today – too wet).
