One of the things I missed during the lock-downs was being able to people watch.

Yesterday I was able for the first time in ages to sit in a cafe, enjoy a drink, and get out my sketchbook.

I like to try and catch people in just a few lines. I’m intrigued by different hair styles and by the way clothing falls into folds.

Cafes provide a captive audience and are ideal hunting grounds for people to draw. If only they would keep still!
