This peony is one of a bunch which I found irresistible in a local shop (during a quick stop for a pint of milk).  An impulse buy which makes me smile every time I enter the room for the delicate pink and cream flowers, their exuberance, and their wonderfful scent. The fragile looking petals remind me of paper flowers.  Although pale, they command the room and draw the eye.

Peonies, if happy where they are growing, preferably in full sun with well-drained soil, can live up to 100 years, delighting us with their  beautiful flowers for up to 10 days each spring. 

I am so pleased I stopped for milk and chanced upon this bunch, to draw and feed my soul.
